The customer is responsible for all Duties, Taxes and/or VAT (Value Added Tax) imposed by their respective countries when shipping via USPS. These taxes are not included in the total invoice from Skates Dot Com. We only charge for shipping from United States to your respective country.
We do not issue refunds on international duties and taxes after the delivery of items to the Ship To address. We do allow customers to use their shipping account with private carriers to bill all shipping charges from skates.com. (A $10 administrative fee will apply)


Please create an account by clicking the "Log-In" at the top of our site. During sign-up we'll ask for your shipping address details including country. If your country is not in the drop-down menu of available countries, unfortunately we cannot ship to your country at this time. click here for map

2. How To Determine International Shipping Costs

Please follow these steps:

I. ADD desired items to your shopping cart
II. Fill out your customer profile completely in the next page by clicking "Proceed To Checkout". (UK Residents: Use England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Wales as the country and not United Kingdom) then proceed to checkout where live shipping methods and prices can be chosen.
III. Choose the shipping method of your choice based upon price and speed of delivery. (At this point you may abandon the shopping cart and cancel your order without penalty)

OR

IV. Input your credit card or Paypal details and complete YOUR order.

 
2. Shipping Options

Shipping via private carriers - UPS

When a package is shipped via UPS (either Expedited or Express) duties and taxes are paid up front at the time of invoicing and included in the shipping charges. The advantage of choosing UPS is the carrier electronically clears your package with customs  within 2 hours of your package leaving the USA. Live tracking of your package on its journey to you is made available online.

Shipping via Post Office (USPS – United States Postal Service)
 
When choosing Post Office (USPS) as your carrier, your package clears customs manually upon arrival in your country. This can delay delivery indefinitely if it gets quarantined by customs (up to more than a month or more). Alternatively, it can also be delivered very quickly. No live electronic tracking is available for USPS at this stage.

The risk of shipping via USPS is that when items are lost in transit the claim may take up to A YEAR before it is approved. The customer is also responsible for all Duties, Taxes and/or VAT (Value Added Tax) imposed by their respective countries. These taxes are NOT included in the total invoice from Skates Dot Com when shipping via Post Office (USPS)

*** Special Shipping note for Canadian customers
During checkout, you will see a GST & Customs charge. This amount is a separate charge from shipping collected by freight companies preparing shipments for import entry at the US/Canada border.
*Skates Dot Com DOES NOT profit monetarily nor reap any other benefits from the taxes imposed on the customer by their respective government such as GST, VAT or brokerage fees.
 
*In the event of unforeseen circumstances and acts of God, resulting in shipping delays, monetary compensation will NOT be offered.
