K2 Skate History

K2 Skates is a company that has been producing inline skates for over 25 years. The company was founded in 1962 by Bill Kirschner, who initially focused on manufacturing high-quality ski equipment. In the 1990s, K2 expanded into the inline skating market and quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the best skates in the industry.

One of K2's early successes in inline skating was the introduction of the Original SoftBoot design. This new style of skate used a flexible and breathable boot that was more comfortable and better fitting than traditional hard-shell skates. The Original SoftBoot design quickly became popular among recreational and fitness skaters, and it helped to establish K2 as a leading brand in the industry.

In the years that followed, K2 continued to innovate and improve its skates. The company introduced a range of new technologies and features, such as the Hi-Lo frame design, which helped to provide a more stable and agile ride. K2 also began to produce skates for a wider range of activities, including aggressive skating, speed skating, and urban skating.

Today, K2 Skates remains one of the top brands in the inline skating market. The company continues to push the boundaries of skate design and technology, with a focus on producing skates that are both high-performing and comfortable to wear. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced skater, K2 Skates has a skate that's sure to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.
